This Protecteur had been built by a french modeler, whose models have been given to the beautiful Ernest Cognacq Museum in StMartin de Ré, on Ré Island (on the Atlantic French coast, not far from Bordeaux).

The model - and all the other ship built by Mr Cartier and shown in the museum - have been built at a scale of 1:100. It is presented as a diorama with all its sails and a starboard wind. The port portholes of the lower deck are closed, to prevent water to enter the ship.

The photos of this Protecteur are shown in the Protecteur of StMartin de Ré's museum page.
