Based on the 1:75 plans sold by the Association des Amis du Musée de la Marine, this model was built by Pierre BOUTTIER, in the late '70s. A commercial set sold by the french shop STAB, including the frames, the wood and all the decorative elements, was used. This Protecteur is shown with all its sails brailed up, except some of its staysails, in order to show the decks.
